spiritualpractice

Meditation is considered as a powerful form of self-realization and self-healing. There are various methods by which you can meditate, but perhaps, the most potent of all is the Chakra Meditation. This process can also be called chakra balancing or chakra healing.

Chakra Meditation; A Primer

The meditation whose basic aim is to align the movement of all the seven primary Chakras in the body is termed as Chakra Meditation. Our body consists of 7 primary and over 20,000 secondary Chakras. For a better understanding of Chakra Meditation, its important to know what and where are the primary Chakras in the body:

*Root Chakra governing your general health, prosperity and well being is located at the base of the spine and related to the element Earth.

*Orange or Naval or Sacral Chakra located at the center of abdomen and related to the element Water. It governs our emotions and sexuality.

*Solar Plexus or Power Chakra located just above the naval region and related to the element Fire. It governs our will power, autonomy, and metabolism.

*Heart Chakra is situated right at the center of the chest. It is related to the Air element, which governs our feelings of love, compassion, and general relationships.

*Throat Chakra located at the base of the throat and related to the element Sound. It governs clear communication, creativity, and resonance during our entire lifespan.

*Brow Chakra governing your power of imagination, visualization, and interpretation is located between the brows on the forehead and related to the element Light.

*Root Chakra, also called the Base Chakra, is situated at the base of the spine. It is related to the Earth element, which governs our overall health, security, and prosperity in life.

By concentrating and synchronizing these vital energy centers, one can achieve a calming influence on the mind resulting in stress-free existence and a contented life. Chakra Meditation also helps in naturally healing any ailment related to these 7 vital energy centers.

Chakra Meditation – The Process

Chakra Meditation involves three techniques in this order:

*Grounding Technique refers to the process whereby, your body feels connected with Earth. The visualization involves assuming a root growing from your body and entering into the Earth, thus, transfixing your body to the ground. With some intense focus and determination, you can achieve this state of Chakra Meditation.

*Centering Technique. This technique is vital as it prepares your body to receive the benefits of Chakra Meditation. Again, the application of this technique is not too difficult. Just take 4-5 deep breaths and feel every body part from head to toe getting relaxed. This process involves tightening and relaxing each body part from toe, and then visualizing the act of a potter who centers a pot on the pottery wheel.

*Relaxation Technique. The Relaxation Technique is the primary act in the entire Chakra Meditation process. Everyone has his or her own method of relaxation. Just find out your preferred mode of relaxing the body and stick to it. In a nutshell, Chakra Meditation is all about relaxing, visualizing, and directing the flow of energy through the seven energy centers (Chakras).

Here is one of the most common methods of performing Chakra Meditation:

*Sit or lie down in a position that is most comfortable for your body.

*Close your eyes and loosen your clothing. The idea is to be in a natural state without any kind of artificial compulsion on the body and mind.

*Take relaxing breaths ” neither too fast nor too slow. Just give up your control on the breath, and let it flow naturally.

*Feel every part of your body from toe to the crown in that direction. Feel the earth you are lying on or the sofa you are seated on, feel the clothes you are wearing. Feel completely present with yourself and relaxed.

*You may experience a wave of thoughts, fears, and every kind of emotion during this process. Dont avoid them! This represents the release of stress-related thoughts. With practice and regular exercise, these negative emotions and feelings will disappear.

*Let you spirit roam in every part of your body. This is the feeling of completeness youve been yearning for.

Chakra Meditation can be performed by anyone at convenient hours. There is no rule for the duration of time to perform Chakra Meditation. Suit your comfort levels!

Chakra Meditation Unleashed

Chakra Meditation is the sum total of the following three techniques:

*Grounding Technique. As is evident from its name, the Grounding Technique makes your body feel connected with the Earth. The application of this technique is pretty simple. Just visualize a root growing from your body and entering into the Earth. Easier it may sound, but requires intense concentration and mental awareness while performing the Grounding Technique.

*Centering Technique, which aims at preparing your body to receive the benefits of Chakra Meditation. Just take three to five deep breaths and visualize relaxation of every body part from toe to crown. In simple words, just tighten and relax each body part from toe to the crown, and then visualize the act of centering a pot on a pottery wheel.

*Relaxation Technique, which is the final step in Chakra Meditation. There is no hard and fast rule to relax your body. Everyone has his or her own method of relaxation.

Here is a simple method of performing Chakra Meditation:

*Sit or lie down in a position that is most comfortable for your body.

*Close your eyes and loosen your clothing. The idea is to be in a natural state without any kind of artificial compulsion on the body and mind.

*Breathe in a relaxed manner, which is neither too fast nor too slow. Let the breath come naturally!

*Start feeling every part of your body from toe to the head in that direction. While your eyes are closed, feel the earth you are lying or sitting on, or the bed you are lying or sitting on, feel the aura around you, feel the clothes you are wearing. Feel everything youd have had your eyes been open. Visualize life in darkness!

*Initially, your efforts will be met with stiff resistance from negative thoughts and emotions. Dont suppress them! Theyll disappear with time and practice.

*Feel every subtle inner detail and let your awareness travel freely from one body part to the other.

Do this exercise for any length of time and at any time of the day!

Lucid Dreaming – Learning Control

Once we find out the definition of it, most of us realize that we have at one time or another in our lives experienced lucid dreaming. The term “lucid dreaming” simply means being aware that you are dreaming. Most of us can remember, at least once in our lives, suddenly being aware that we are in a dream. Usually this happens in the instant before we wake up, but sometimes it’s in the middle of the dream. This type of unintentional lucid dreaming is common, but what is less common is the practice of actively planning to be aware, and many times even in control, during a dream. This is a quest that some people embark upon, hoping through several methods to be able to not only increase instances of lucid dreaming, but also hoping to be able to control what happens in dreams.

lucidipediaWhat would be the benefits of learning how to master lucid dreaming? For one thing, it’s fun! If you can realize that you are dreaming and be able to stay lucid in the dream for awhile before waking up, you can conceivably do things that you aren’t able to do in the waking state. When you know you’re dreaming you can do such exciting and unusual things as fly through the air, ride an elephant down the street or win a beauty contest. In other words, you can live out a fantasy within your dream. Some people also believe that learning how to dream lucidly can help you to explore your subconscious in ways that you can’t do when awake, which can help you to solve personal issues. The reasons for wanting to learn how to dream lucidly on a regular basis vary, but the fact is that there are many people who are interested in doing so.

Learning to increase your instances of lucid dreaming and actually be able to orchestrate what happens when you are experiencing it takes time and patience. It is a process that is learned in stages, not something that can be studied one day and practiced the next. It’s important to remember too that it would be rare, and for most people impossible, to get to a point where you can be lucid during and can control every dream that you have. Though it is possible to increase the number of times that you dream lucidly, it simply isn’t going to happen every time. Since the average person usually remembers being aware of dreaming only a handful of times in their life, however, being able to increase those instances to a few times a month is a significant accomplishment. It becomes even more of an accomplishment when you are able to control what happens in these lucid dreams.

A good place to start on the quest to facilitate lucid dreaming on a regular basis is by paying closer attention to the dreams that you do have. The truth is that we can’t remember a lot of the dreams that we have. We find sometimes that we remember them during the first moments after we awaken, but in just a short amount of time the memory fades. It is a good idea to keep a pad of paper and a pen by your bed so that you can write down anything you remember about a dream as soon as you wake up. This trains your mind to focus more on what you have dreamt, which can carry over to training it to actually recognize more often when you are in the midst of a dream. From there you can hopefully graduate to controlling what happens in a dream.

Another good exercise is to become more aware of everything around you when you are awake. Notice sights, smells, sounds, what people around you are doing, what the people on the television are saying; the sound of a lawnmower being used down the street. In other words, cultivate the habit of always being aware. This may not seem at first to be conducive to lucid dreaming, but teaching your mind to be more aware of what is going on around you when you’re awake can carry over to when you’re asleep and dreaming. Another effective practice is to tell yourself repeatedly before you go to sleep that you will be aware that you are dreaming. Giving your mind this suggestion can work after a while, as long as you are consistent.

One of the best things that you can do is to find groups of people who are interested in things such as lucid dreaming and join them. Networking with others who have the same goals as you is a good way of gaining support in your quest, as well as a good way of learning different techniques for achieving your goals. With dedication and focus, the results can be exciting and enlightening.

Why Astral Projection?

My first paranormal experience happened when I was 16 years old. I was playing this game with some friends of mine where you take a bunch of deep breaths, you hold the last one in, and then the other person push’s on your chest. This causes you to pass out. When I was passed out I felt like I returned to my real world. The world I was really suppose to be in. Once I was back into this real world I went along with my life like I awoke from a dream. I lived for what felt like years in the real world until one day I felt a jolt and was pushed back into this dream world (our world as we know it). When I came to I saw these people standing around me that I did not recognize, it took about 15 seconds before reality hit me. My friends claim I was only out for about 15 seconds. I swear 20 to 30 years had gone by. Still, to this day (17 years later) I still remember looking up at my friends and asking myself “who the heck are these people”.

It was another 7 years before I had an similar experience. I was in my brothers car and it was very late at night. We were on a road trip to Milwaukee Wisconsin. The trip was roughly 300 miles from our apartment in St Paul MN. I was sitting in the back seat and I felt this jolt of energy go througout my body. The vibrations started happening and the next thing I knew I was above the car looking down. I was very confused and I didn’t know what to do. I thought about being in the car and the next thing I new I was back in my body and my heart was pounding. I looked at my brother and his girlfriend and they were totally oblivious to what was going on with me. I told them what happened and they didn’t believe a word I said. They think to this day that I was dreaming. The funny thing was that I could see the rust on the top of my brothers truck…something I never noticed before that. When we got to our destination I got out, climbed up the side of the truck and there it was, the same weird rust design I saw a few hours earlier.

I don’t think I need to convince anyone that astral projection is real. I will let you come to that decision on your own. What I am hoping to do with this blog is give as much information about astral projection as I can and hopefully you will someday have the same wonderful experiences that I have had over the years.

Good luck and come back often. I will be constantly adding new articles and tutorials on a daily basis.
